We held the AVA (Applied Vision Association) Spring and Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Bradford on Monday 26 of March 2018

This was a friendly one-day meeting held at the new Optometry and Vision Sciences facilities at the University of Bradford. We welcomed submissions from all areas of applied research in human and animal vision such as clinical, computational, perceptual and occupational. Registration and posters opened at 10:30 am. The meeting ended at around 4:30 pm with a drinks reception afterwards followed by a visit to the amazing sensory exhibit wonderlab at the National Science and Media Museum and optional dinner in one of the excellent local curry restaurants, click for detailed programme and abstracts. See here for a list of local hotels, directions to the conference venue are available here.

We had two distinguished keynote speakers: Professor Jenny Read will give the Geoffrey J Burton Memorial Lecture and Professor Andrew Stockman the CRS Lecture.

The College of Optometrists is supporting the meeting by sponsoring two best presentation prizes (poster or talk, £200 ea), one being specifically for the best presentation by an early career researcher.

Registration included an option for having your abstract published in i-perception. Here is the link to those abstracts.
